General Information
The 14th European Congress of Work and Organizational Psychology will take place between May 13-16, 2009 (Wednesday - Saturday). The Congress is intended for academics, PhD students, trainers, educators and other professionals working in the field of work and organizational psychology, or related fields. It will be held at the Galicia Congress and Exhibitions Venue (Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Galicia), 20 minutes away from the city center.
AUDIO-VISUAL FACILITIES
All lecture halls will be equipped with LCD computer projectors.
BADGES
The participant's name badge will be provided at the registration desk. All participants are requested to wear the badge throughout the congress. Only badge holders will be admitted to the sessions.
INSURANCE
Neither the Congress Organizers nor the Congress Secretariat or Venue accept any liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage to property belonging to congress participants, either during or as a result of the congress. It is strongly recommended that you purchase the insurance policy of your choice as you register for the congress and book your travel. The insurance should be purchased in your country of origin.
LANGUAGE
The official Congress language is English. However, for those who are willing to learn about what is happening in the field of Work and Organizational Psychology here will be simultaneous translation (English to Spanish) for selected activities and for keynote addresses. These activities will be announced as having simultaneous translation.
LETTER OF INVITATION
The Congress Secretariat will be pleased to provide Letters of Invitation to any individual making such a request. A Letter of Invitation often facilitates the procedure of obtaining a visa. Please note that the tetter is not a commitment on the part of the congress to provide financial support.
MEALS
Coffee and lunches are included in the registration fee.
ON-SITE REGISTRATION
On-site registration will be accepted, but the availability of hotel accommodations and touring arrangements may be severely limited. All credit cards will be accepted. Cash payments will be accepted only with local currency (Euro).
PRESS
Authorized members of the press are welcome to cover the 14th European Congress of Work and Organizational Psychology. All press is welcome to register and use the online form. You will be asked to show your press identification at the venue.
PROGRAM
An outline of the structure of the congress program will be available on the congress website as soon as acceptance of abstracts is finalized. The final program will be available closer to the congress.
VISA
Participants who need a visa for entry into Spain are strongly advised to apply in their home country well in advance. If in doubt, information can be obtained from your nearest Spanish Embassy or Consulate or from your travel agency.
NO-SMOKING POLICY
The Congress Venue is a smoke-free zone.
