Congress Organization
The European Congress of Work and Organizational Psychology has already become a traditional meeting point for psychologists specializing in the field of Work and Organizational Psychology, who are willing to debate different aspects of this area from many different perspectives, that include research, practice, teaching and learning.
The Santiago congress, entitled Developing people in 21st century organizations: global and local perspective, is the fourteenth in a series of congresses on work and organizational psychology initiated by the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP). Previous European congresses of work and organizational psychology have been held in the Netherlands (1983), Germany (1985), Belgium (1987), England (1989), France (1991), Spain (1993), Hungary (1995), Italy (1997), Finland (1999), the Czech Republic (2001), Portugal (2003), Turkey (2005) and Sweden (2007).
The 14th European Congress of Work and Organizational Psychology is organized by the Spanish Psychological Association (Consejo General de Colegios Oficiales de Psicólogos), in cooperation with the COP Galicia and the University of Santiago de Compostela.
The congress will take place between May 13-16, 2009, at the Galicia Congress and Exhibitions Venue (Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Galicia).
