Welcome from the Chair of the Program Committee

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Program Committee of the 14th EAWOP Congress which will take place in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) from 13-16 May 2009, I am honored to invite you to participate in our European Congress. As expressed in the title of the Congress, Developing people in 21st century organizations: global and local perspective, its central objective is to make it possible for researchers, professionals and students to share and exchange all types of ideas, information, professional practices and research results from the different fields and approaches of Work and Organizational Psychology.

No thematic area or scientific perspective is excluded, as long as it is supported by the strength of its arguments. The Organizing Committee and the Program Committee have worked together to invite researchers and professionals of recognized prestige to present topics of major relevance for the world today. Furthermore, there will be numerous symposia, thematic sessions, round tables, posters and workshops. The  Program Committee is pleased to invite you all to send your proposals and contributions. The EAWOP Congress constitutes a unique opportunity for the exchange of ideas and for making contact with colleagues, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere such as that offered by the historic city of Santiago de Compostela, located in the Northwest of Spain close to many other enchanting places. As I look forward to seeing you in Spain in 2009, I am confident that you will take away fond memories of the EAWOP Congress and of Santiago de Compostela.
